Pauline Renee Hahn Bartlett Formerly of Angola, NY, entered into rest July 18, 2014 in Bakersfield, CA, Born April 23, 1968 to Marilyn and Edward Hahn. Pauline was raised in Angola, NY, attending Most Precious Blood Elementary School and then Lake Shore High School where she was active in several sports, including swimming, tennis, basketball and volleyball. In her senior year of high school she began dating her husband-to-be, Eric Bartlett. After graduating from Lake Shore Pauline attended Fredonia State College and continued her athletic pursuits by managing the swim team. Two years later she transferred to Rochester Institute of Technology and in 1991 earned her bachelor's degree in hotel and resort management. On September 7 of the same year she and Eric Married, spending their honeymoon driving across country to Bakersfield, CA. Pauline put her degree and considerable talents, skills and gracious personality to work in the hospitality industry at the Sheraton Hotel, Rio Bravo Resort and the Holiday Inn. In May of 2002 she went to work for the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce. Serving in the capacity of Special Projects Manager, Pauline facilitated a wide range of committees and organized the Chamber's major fundraising events, interacting with hundreds of volunteers throughout the community. She herself also volunteered with several organizations, including Mayor Harvey Hall of Bakersfield, CA "Clean-Up Committee". Pauline epitomized sweetness, beauty and grace. She enjoyed nature and loved her pets and animals, especially monkey's of which she had an extensive memorabilia collection. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, camping, backpacking, hiking, cooking, baking and music, especially tunes from the 1980's. Pauline is survived by her husband and soul mate Eric Bartlett, mother Marilyn Hahn, sisters Eileen and Jennifer Hahn, brother Edward Hahn, three nieces and one nephew and is the daughter-in-law of Frederick and Patricia Bartlett, sister-in-law of Shawn Manvell and Kyle Bartlett. A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.
